A Regency mahogany toilet mirror, also known as a swing mirror. The rectangular mirror plate is set within a slender mahogany frame, pivoting between two square-section uprights. These uprights are surmounted by cast brass foliate mounts with scrolled decoration. The assembly is supported by a rectangular box base constructed from figured mahogany. The base features a slightly recessed top and a single drawer, indicated by a central brass-lined keyhole. The drawer appears to be of dovetailed construction, typical for the period. The entire piece is raised on four turned mahogany bun feet. Visible on the top of the left upright is a brass swing-screw used for adjusting the mirror tension. There are no maker marks or labels visible on the exterior surfaces.
