Description

A collection of assorted novelty and commemorative earthenware items, primarily featuring relief-moulded decoration and high-gloss coloured glazes, attributed to Wade. The assortment includes several circular green-glazed saucers commemorating the end of the Boer War, featuring a central crest with the cypher ER VII and the text SOUTH AFRICA 1902. Also included are two circular plates from the Wagon Train series, with brown-glazed borders featuring relief-moulded scrollwork and the names WAGON TRAIN and FLINT McCULLOUGH.

The collection further comprises various figural and decorative dishes, including a large five-pointed starfish dish with blue dot-and-dash patterns, a stylised fish-shaped dish with brown and tan scales, and an oval crab-shaped dish. Other items include a small figurine of a retriever-type dog on a green base, a small black-glazed dish with a leaping animal figure on the rim, and a small blue-glazed dish with a shell motif. Multiple leaf-shaped dishes in green and tan glazes with detailed veining are also present, some of which are nested within the larger plates.
