UK 1887 Victoria Jubilee Head Silver Sixpence

A UK sterling silver sixpence dated 1887, struck during the reign of Queen Victoria. The obverse features the Jubilee Head portrait with the Latin inscription VICTORIA DEI GRATIA BRITT: REGINA F: D:. The reverse displays a crowned royal shield of arms within a garter bearing the motto HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE, with the date 1887 at the base. The coin is struck in .925 fine silver and features a milled edge. It is an example of the first year of issue for the Jubilee Head coinage series.
