A Collection of Vintage British RoSPA Safe Driving Awards and Driving Licences

A collection of mid-20th-century British motoring memorabilia and documents. The group includes two awards from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Safe Driving Competition. One award consists of a circular silver-tone medal featuring a red enamel triangle motif and the inscription SAFE DRIVING COMPETITION FOR THE PREVENTION OF ACCIDENTS, suspended from a green grosgrain ribbon with two date bars for 1956 and 1957. The second award is a star-shaped medal with a central red enamel triangle, also on a green ribbon, presented in its original green cardboard box. The collection also contains two textured booklet-style documents: a black Heavy Goods Vehicle Drivers Licence and a red Great Britain Driving Licence, both featuring the Royal Coat of Arms. A small circular metal badge featuring the Mercedes-Benz logo is also included.
