An Arts and Crafts Repousse Brass Wall Mirror with Butterfly Decoration

An Arts and Crafts wall mirror featuring a rectangular repousse brass frame. The frame is decorated with a large butterfly motif to each of the four corners, joined by stylized foliate scrollwork along the rails. The metalwork exhibits a warm aged patina. The rectangular mirror plate is set within the frame. The reverse is constructed with a single wooden backing board held in place by metal pins. The mirror is fitted with two eye-screws and a hanging wire for wall mounting. No maker’s marks or labels are visible.
