UK 2012 Charles Dickens £2 Coin Cover, SG 3266-3271, Numbered

A philatelic numismatic cover (PNC) issued by Royal Mail to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Dickens. The cover features a strip of six perforated stamps from the Dickens Characters series, Stanley Gibbons SG 3266-3271, with denominations of 2nd, 1st, 77p, 87p, £1.28, and £1.90. The stamps are cancelled by three Portsmouth pictorial circular date stamps (CDS) dated 19.6.2012, featuring an open book design inscribed 200th Birth of Charles Dickens. The cream-coloured envelope includes a facsimile signature and a quill and inkwell illustration. The item is hand-numbered No 04222 in the lower-left corner and bears the Royal Mail Tallents House, Edinburgh address. Inset at the lower right is a Royal Mint £2 commemorative coin featuring a typographic profile of the author on the reverse and the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse.
