Royal Mail 2015 Sir Winston Churchill 50th Anniversary Philatelic Numismatic Cover

A commemorative philatelic numismatic cover (PNC) issued by Royal Mail in 2015 to mark the 50th anniversary of the death of Sir Winston Churchill (1874-1965). The front of the envelope displays a portrait of Churchill in a bowler hat against a Union Jack background with the text 1874-1965 WINSTON CHURCHILL. It carries a single 1st class postage stamp featuring a photographic portrait of Churchill, cancelled with a pictorial postmark from Blenheim Palace, Woodstock, Oxford, dated 24 January 2015. The postmark includes a silhouette of Churchill making the V for Victory sign. Inset into the cover is a commemorative coin depicting the profile of Churchill facing right with the inscription CHURCHILL. The item is a limited edition, numbered 05794.
