An Art Deco style blue pressed glass pedestal bowl, attributed to Sowerby

A medium-blue pressed glass decorative bowl in an Art Deco style, attributed to the British manufacturer Sowerby. The piece features a flared body with deep vertical fluting that extends to a scalloped rim with alternating pointed and rounded peaks. A decorative band of raised geometric diamond-point motifs encircles the lower body of the bowl. It stands on a short pedestal base with an octagonal foot. The underside of the base is impressed with a sixteen-point star motif. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible on the item.
