A White Metal and Moonstone Cabochon Dress Ring

A dress ring featuring a large oval cabochon stone, milky and translucent in appearance with a blue adularescence consistent with moonstone. The stone is secured in a rub-over bezel setting. The mount is designed with split shoulders leading to a plain shank. There is a visible join line on the interior and exterior of the band, suggesting historical resizing or repair. Indistinct marks are present on the reverse of the ring head and the inner shank, though these are too worn for positive identification. The metal shows heavy tarnish throughout, typical of aged silver.
