A solitaire dress ring featuring a central oval-cut dark red gemstone, possibly a garnet, secured in a raised rub-over bezel setting. The ring is crafted from 9 carat yellow gold. The interior of the band displays British hallmarks including the crown symbol, the fineness mark 375, and an anchor indicating it was assayed in Birmingham. A maker’s mark and date letter are present but are too worn to be clearly identified.
