A 9 Carat Yellow Gold Engine-Turned Cross Pendant, Birmingham 1963, W J Pellow Ltd weighing 1.81 gm and measuring 3 cm long
Description
A 9 carat yellow gold Latin cross pendant featuring an engine-turned wavy decoration to the front face with a recessed plain polished cross at the centre. The reverse is finished with a smooth polished surface and carries a full set of British hallmarks. These include the maker’s mark WJP for W J Pellow Ltd, the crown gold standard mark, 375 for 9 carat fineness, the anchor symbol for the Birmingham Assay Office, and the date letter o for 1963. The pendant is fitted with a simple gold jump ring.
