A Collection of Vintage 78rpm Records in a Columbia Records Viva-tonal Storage Case

This collection of mid-20th century 78rpm shellac records is housed in a vintage cardboard storage box. The case features the Columbia Records Magic Notes trademark and is decorated with a scrolling foliate pattern in maroon and cream. The lid and sides include the printed text Columbia Records and The Viva-tonal Columbia. The collection includes a Philips 10-inch record (P.B. 624) featuring Johnnie Ray with Ray Conniff and his Orchestra and Chorus, performing the track Just Walking in the Rain. This record has a blue label with silver text and is marked Made in England. It is currently contained in a red and white His Master’s Voice (HMV) paper sleeve. Also included is a Decca 10-inch record (F. 8576) featuring Vera Lynn with her own Orchestra performing the track Symphony. This record features a dark blue label with gold text, marked The Supreme Record and Manufactured in England.
