An antique 19th-century rectangular box, likely constructed from mahogany or a similar dark hardwood. The box features a hinged lid opening to a single main compartment and a side-access drawer integrated into the base. The construction incorporates brass hardware, including two internal hinges and a decorative brass quatrefoil-shaped escutcheon on the side drawer face. The interior surfaces remain in a natural wood finish. The lot includes two keys, one located in the main compartment and one in the side drawer. A white string tag is present inside the main compartment. No maker’s marks, signatures, or inscriptions are visible upon inspection.
