A Double-Strand Cultured Pearl Necklace with a 9 Carat Yellow Gold Clasp

A double-strand necklace consisting of two graduated-length strands of uniform, round cultured pearls. The pearls display a creamy-white body colour with a soft lustre and are individually hand-knotted on white silk thread. The strands are joined by a 9-carat yellow gold box-and-tongue clasp featuring a secondary fishhook safety catch. The front of the clasp is embellished with a textured sunburst or radiating ridged design, and the reverse features four openwork teardrop-shaped cutouts. The reverse of the clasp is stamped with the fineness mark 9ct and a maker’s mark for AP&Co.
