Lot 35:
A Pair of Gilded 1943 Farthing Coin Cufflinks and a Pair of Linked Opal Dress Studs
Description
A collection of two pairs of men’s dress accessories. The first pair consists of two British farthing coins, each dated 1943, featuring the George VI era wren motif. The coins have been finished with a bright gold-tone gilding and are mounted on T-bar swivel cufflink fittings. The second pair comprises two circular dress studs connected by a central metal link. Each stud is set with a round cabochon stone exhibiting a play-of-colour with orange, yellow, and blue flashes against a milky-white body, characteristic of opal. These stones are held in rub-over settings of rose gold-toned metal.
