A Group of Four Ringtons Branded and Commemorative Ceramic Items

This lot consists of four pieces of ceramic advertising and commemorative ware produced for the Newcastle-upon-Tyne tea and coffee merchant, Ringtons. The collection includes a white glazed earthenware Everyday Teapot featuring black transfer-printed advertising graphics with the company crest and Algernon Road address. A ceramic commemorative tea caddy for the Golden Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II (1952-2002) is included, decorated with a multi-colour transfer print of the Royal Coat of Arms. Also present is a Bridges Bowl, manufactured by Wade Ceramics exclusively for Ringtons, decorated with a blue and white transfer-printed bridge scene. The final item is a ceramic salt and pepper set modelled as miniature tea cups on saucers with branded decoration. All four items are presented in their original manufacturer retail boxes.
