Lot 180:
A Soviet KZS Berezka Pattern Mesh Camouflage Two-Piece Oversuit
Description
A Soviet-era Kostyum Zashchitniy Setchatyy (KZS) mesh camouflage oversuit, comprising a hooded jacket and a pair of trousers. The set is constructed from a coarse, open-weave green cotton mesh printed with the light-tan disruptive Beryozka (Birch) pattern. The jacket features an integrated hood designed to accommodate a helmet, a front closure secured with four olive drab buttons, and elasticated cuffs. The matching trousers are designed with an elasticated waistband and elasticated ankle cuffs. The interior of the garments contains two sewn-in fabric labels. A rectangular blue fabric label (photo 1) is printed in black ink with the Cyrillic text ШВЕЙНАЯ Ф-КА (Sewing Factory) above г. ГУКОВО (Gukovo city), the model designation КЗС, the size РОСТ 2 (Size 2), and ПАРТИЯ № 1990 (Lot No. 1990), followed by the word ДАТА (Date) with illegible faded markings. A second rectangular tan fabric label (photo 1) displays matching printed information including ШВЕЙНАЯ Ф-КА, г. ГУКОВО, КЗС, and РОСТ 2, alongside a blurred rectangular quality control stamp where the characters are not clearly legible. This suit was manufactured by the Gukovo Sewing Factory.
