A vintage silver champagne stirrer, also known as a swizzle stick, of telescopic construction. The item features a slender barrel, partially hexagonal and partially cylindrical, terminating in a small suspension loop. A sliding ring mechanism allows the deployment of a whisk-like head composed of six wire tines, one of which is tipped with a small spherical ball. The barrel is impressed with the word SILVER in uppercase block characters (photo 3). No further hallmarks, assay office marks, or maker’s marks are visible.
