An early 20th-century Edwardian oak dressing chest, featuring a configuration of two short drawers over two long drawers. The chest is constructed from solid oak with a visible grain and finished in a medium golden tone. Each drawer is fitted with original darkened metal bale handles with decorative backplates in the Art Nouveau style. The piece includes a raised superstructure with two upright supports and a central shelf featuring a shaped gallery. A separate rectangular oak-framed swing mirror is provided, which is designed to be mounted between the uprights. No maker marks, labels, or stamps are visible on the exterior or accessible parts of the piece.
