An English rectangular cigarette case constructed from a mottled brown phenolic plastic, likely Bakelite, featuring a decorative finish designed to simulate the appearance of burr walnut. The case is designed with rounded corners and a curved profile. The interior is fitted with a series of horizontal metal tension springs set into individual grooved channels, intended to secure cigarettes in place. The upper interior edge of the housing is impressed with the block lettering MADE IN ENGLAND. The case features a separate ribbed closure strip that functions as a snap-in or sliding component to secure the contents.
