A mid-20th-century Japanese mechanical pocket lighter produced for Pepsi-Cola. The piece features a chrome-finished metal body with curved, white enamelled side panels. The front panel is decorated with a multi-coloured transfer depicting the 1950s-era Pepsi-Cola bottle cap logo in red, white, and blue. The reverse panel features the brand’s signature script logo in red. The mechanism is a lift-arm style with a flint-wheel ignition and a fuel-tank interior. Stamped into the metal on the side of the lift arm are the characters ZENITH. The base of the lighter features several impressed marks. To the left is the word ZENITH; the central fuel screw is impressed with the words FUEL HERE arranged in a circle; to the right are four lines of text reading SUPERIOR QUALITY DESIGN REG’D JAPAN.
