The lot further contains several circular and rectangular doilies and dresser mats in various designs including pineapple, fan, and floral lace motifs. Notable among these are two small square decorative mats featuring colourful floral silk ribbon work and embroidery in shades of pink, purple, and green on a fine silk or cotton mesh ground, finished with delicate lace edgings. A length of fine white machine-made lace trim is also included. Construction methods across the pieces include hand-crochet, whitework embroidery, and silk ribbon work on net. Materials consist primarily of cotton linen, cotton thread, and fine mesh. No maker’s marks or labels are visible on any of the items.
