An Assortment of Vintage and Antique Silver Metalware and Gentlemen's Accessories
Description
A collection of various vintage and antique collectibles and metalware. Included is a hallmarked sterling silver rod or implement by the silversmiths S Blanckensee and Son Ltd. The item bears the maker’s mark S B & S L d, the anchor assay office mark for Birmingham, the lion passant standard mark for sterling silver, and the date letter k for 1909. The lot also contains several silver-toned metal implements including two pairs of sugar tongs and a smaller pair of tweezers, all featuring decorative twisted handles. There are two silver-plated souvenir spoons, one featuring an enamelled finial for The Pacific Steam Navigation Company with a crown and house flag, and another for the Grand Coulee Dam. A Victorian or Edwardian white metal skirt lifter is present, consisting of a suspension chain and circular squeeze-action clip. The collection includes a rectangular brass-toned cast metal belt buckle with a raised cotton boll design and stylized script reading cotton. Also included is a circular cream-coloured leatherette or faux-leather storage case with the lid printed with a line illustration of a vintage Rolls Royce motor car. Further items comprise a selection of personal accessories including one pair of rectangular silver-toned cufflinks, two pairs of fabric knot cufflinks in navy and black cord, a large brass safety pin, a bottle opener, and a miniature compass component.
