A Welsh sterling silver pill box of oval form, featuring a lift-off lid. The lid is decorated in relief with a central skeleton key motif set against a geometric, stepped fretwork background. The sides of the box are further embellished with matching geometric fretwork patterns. The side of the box is stamped with a copyright symbol followed by the maker’s mark SBS LTD and the date 2000. The base retains an original white circular adhesive label with a red Welsh dragon emblem, bordered by the text MADE IN WALES printed in red. The metal displays a characteristic dark grey patina within the recessed areas of the design.
